Nationality: Corsair (I prefer calling myself Iberian/Hispanian)
Birthplace: New Oxtrana, Planet Crete.
Affiliation: Mollys
Position: Leifteanant-Choirnéal (Lieutenant Colonel)

Origin:
Born and raised in a small city fortress in Planet Crete, called New Oxtrana. Upon planet-fall, the settlers that left the crippled sleeper ship Hispania saw that the planet conditions weren't very favorable to colonization. With a harsh weather combined with the Water and Food being always scarce, life on the planet was very difficult. New Oxtrana was built inside a large crater (probably made by an asteroid) that was close to a small lake of drinkable water. This made it a perfect place for a settlement do to the water available along with the protection the crater afforded. The colony started with nothing more than a handful of settlers (as the rest divided themselves trough out the few places that resources were available) but soon grew in numbers do to is favorable conditions. Trough generations the colony survived, grew and evolved, with many more underground chambers being built, walls surrounding the crater (now nothing more than ceremonial), a "grand plaza" in the middle of the crater a long side with a spaceport that could house several ships.
Marcus is the only son of the House Viriatus, a respected name within New Oxtrana. This is so because of his father and all that came before him that made their name in service of the “Oxtrana Raiders”. The Raiders were formed many generations ago by the constant need of commodities the planet could not produce for his people. Their purpose still stands to this day, so they attack military and civilian convoys primarily in the Omegas and Bretonia space.
Early Life:
Marcus first years like all other Cretian children were spent learning the ways to survive in that harsh world. There was no time to play and full around as everyone had to work and contribute so life in Crete could be more bearable. Still the corsair had to rely on the supplies they could gather with the raids they performed so at the age of four, Marcus was already being trained by his parents the skills that we would need in the future. It was part of the Tradition for the Corsairs to train and prepare the new generations so they could substitute or even surpass them. Marcus learned how to fly and to fight with his father while his mother (a great mechanist) taught him how machines worked and more subtle ways to “survive”.
Growing Up:
At the age of eight he started helping his mother in the mechanical bays rebuilding ships that were damaged while is father was out there gathering supplies with the “Oxtrana Raiders”. Some of these raids brought some droid parts that no one cared but that Marcus found some interest. When he wasn’t helping his mother he was building droids. The first ones looked stupid and acted like it but with practice Marcus was finally able to build a functional droid that he gave to his mother.
When Marcus reached the age of sixteen he had to take the test that all Corsairs youth had to pass. Not only were they tested by their flying and fighting skills but also their maturity and capability to remain calm in harsh situations. Marcus entered the “Malvada Nebula” along with another 6 corsair youths but of that group only 3 came back. No one really knows what happened has the test is an experience for only those that make it.
Marcus had become an adult and with that accepted the obligations that came with it. Crete was always in constant need of supplies so Marcus joined the “Oxtrana Raiders” along with his father. His companions taught him new tactics and skills that he was more than eager to learn. Along the years he proved to be a capable fighter and a good tracker and eventually earned the respect of his fellow companions.
Joining the Mollys:
After a successful month in Bretonia Space raiding convoys with all types of commodities, Marcus and his raiding party decided they had enough to return home. As it was normal they divided in groups and took different ways. Unfortunately on the way back, Marcus and his friend Luiz were surprised by a wing of “Hispanian Reclaimers”, a group that had resurfaced by the hand of the former Legatus Leon Christiano. After seeing his friend’s ship being blown to pieces and with him already ejecting from his ship he thought that day was his last. After days unconscious he awoke in Arranmore Base to find out that he was saved by some Mollys pilots. After some talks with their leader, General O’Shanahan, he decided to accept his offer and joined their cause.
No one really knows why he decided to join the Mollys and some suspect his real intentions…
